Since I was young, I've had a passion for technology. I've been building, coding, and tinkering as long as I can remember. Even when I wasn't coding, I loved building things with my hands and seeing how they would take shape. I've always been interested in the technical aspects of my surroundings; by breaking apart things I couldn't understand to see how they worked hands-on - physical and digital. Most of my software expertise lies in Python, Linux, VHDL, and MATLAB, but I'm always looking for new skills to learn and new projects to work on.
I am currently part of the EAGER research project at my university working with the Applied Meteorology faculty. The faculty here have received an NSF Eager grant to create a machine learning based model trained off the HRRR atmospheric data model. This models' sole purpose is to predict thunderstorms during the North American Monsoon season. The model will be used to help forecasters more accurately predict and warn for thunderstorms. As a part of this project, I am using Python, Linux, data science, statistical analysis, and machine learning skills to create the model. I will also be creating several data conversion tools, working with databases, and creating GUIs in order to make the model more accessible.
I'm currently enrolled in the Computer Engineering program at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University with a specialization in robotics and a mathematics minor, I'm expecting to graduate in May 2026. I'm currently taking classes in Python, C, and VHDL, as well as classes in calculus and circuit design. I'm also a part of the ERAU Makerspace club, where I volunteer as a lab monitor and help students with their own personal projects.
In my spare time, I like to work on personal projects, such as this website, 3D design and 3D printing, Linux experimentation, and other passion projects. When I'm not huddled in front a screen picking away at my work, I enjoy playing video games with my friends, hiking, playing piano, and keeping myself in shape. I'm also a fan of reading, and I'm currently finishing "How to Become a Straight-A Student" by Cal Newport. 10/10 book by the way. If you have a kid with ADHD at home, it's a lifesaver for creating good habits and time management skills, I can't recommend it enough.
